Drawings made from twigs to light, themed ”Draw Tomorrow”, are appearing in parking lots around Surrey and White Rock in October. The Day of Drawing artists’ collective (DoD) is mounting a ‘pop-up exhibition’ housed in a 26’ truck. During the opening weekend Oct 5-6, you will find the Day of Drawing artists at the Moon Festival on the West Beach parking lot near the White Rock Museum on Marine Drive. Imaginative drawing activities will be available under the adjacent 10’ tent. All ages and levels of experience can participate with this universal language of expression.
The mobile art gallery will be in various private and public locations around Surrey, including Morgan Crossing (Oct. 11-12) and Surrey Arts Centre (Oct.15-16), Kwantlen Polytechnic University (Oct 17-18) after the opening weekend on the West Beach parking lot in White Rock. Participating artists include Elizabeth Carefoot, Jennifer Clark, Willa Downing, James Friesen, Lesley Garratt, Reuben Kambeitz, Cora Li-Leger, Don Li-Leger, Claire Moore, and Deborah Putman.
